Life’s own way

Life’s own way

You don’t get to walk life just on your own conditions
Life doesn’t always walk your way
Things go wrong
They hurt
You lose people
You fight and who knows if you’ll win or lose
Life walks its own way
And you might scream and shout
But it doesn’t turn around
It does not turn around
Life happens and it goes on
You can’t turn back time
You can’t reverse what has happened
It hurts
It might really really hurt
And no pain in the world will change the way life’s walking
In the end
You can only see what’s left
Collect the remaining pieces
And walk on from there

Life doesn’t walk your way
And there’s nothing you can do about it
Well except one thing
Let me tell you
You get to choose your response
You get to choose what you will do
With the shattered pieces
Will you grieve
Will you keep walking as if nothing happened
Will you mourn endlessly
Never believing into a brighter future again
Will you
Eventually pick up the pieces
And create something new

Life doesn’t walk without heartbreak
Without tears, without grief
But remember
It’s your choice what to with the pieces
If you’ll allow them to create something new
Even if it hurts at first
